The Regional Centre of Expertise on ESD Greater Western Sydney organized a two-hour Roundtable on ProSPER.Net at Western Sydney University (WSU) on October 4, 2016.
Prof. Mario Tabucanon, Researcher at UNU-IAS, provided an overview on ProSPER.Net development, its progress and networking activities. The Roundtable was well attended by professors and researchers from different faculties – School of Business; School of Education; School of Computing, Engineering and Mathematics; School of Law; and School of Social Sciences and Psychology – and the Office of Sustainability.
After a campus tour, Prof. Tabucanon joined a meeting with the Office for Learning Transformations and the International Office. Pro Vice-Chancellor (Learning Transformation), Prof. Simon Barrie and Pro Vice-Chancellor (International), Prof. Linda Taylor were keen to learn about the activities of ProSPER.Net and how WSU can benefit from being a ProSPER.Net member.
They were particularly interested in ProSPER.Net’s joint projects for curriculum development, and in student, faculty, and researchers’ mobility across ProSPER.Net. A further point of discussion was how WSU could learn from other members‘ experience on mainstreaming sustainability in undergraduate curricula.
