UNU-IAS co-organised the ProSPER.Net Sustainability Forum as part of the UN Weeks at Sophia University. Under the theme ‘Exploring the New Direction of Equity and Inclusion towards Transforming Education’, the event focused on the ramifications of the COVID-19 crisis on the provision of inclusive and equitable quality education, particularly its impact on vulnerable populations. It also discussed the role of higher education institutions in striving for sustainability and inclusion in their activities.
The forum featured speakers from UNU-IAS; ProSPER.Net member universities; UNESCO; the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Japan (MEXT); Ministry of the Environment of Japan; and Sophia University.
