The university offers postgraduate and doctoral programmes focusing on Sustainable Development. Using innovation and collaboration, its programmes include environmental studies, natural resources management, water resources management, geoinformatics, climate change, and renewable energy engineering and management, an MBA in Infrastructure and an MA in Public Policy, all through a multi-disciplinary approach.
With 300 students, the University offers PhD and Master’s programmes in two faculties: Applied Science and Policy & Planning. Set-up as a research institute, the university has an extensive research portfolio focusing on climate change, waste management, water conservation, urban ecosystems and Integrated Impacts Assessment (IIA). Outreach involvements are seen in collaboration with many universities abroad. At the Master’s level, the university collaborates with industries and businesses, especially for students conducting research in the private sector industries.
