TERI School of Advanced Studies, New Delhi is deemed to be a University that remains the pioneer and leader in sustainability education and research not only in India, but also in the globe.
Set up in 1998 by TERI (The Energy and Resources Institute) – a not-for-profit, independent research organisation known for its contribution to scientific and policy research in the realm of energy, environment and sustainable development, TERI School of Advanced Studies (TERI SAS) aims to educate generations to enable and equip them to cope with the challenges the world is facing.
Since its inception in 1998, the institute is committed to higher education, research, innovation and social impact in sustainability studies.
An interdisciplinary Doctoral programme in 6 thematic areas and 12 Master programmes in disciplines such as Economics, Geoinformatics, Environmental Studies, Public Policy (for mid-career government bureaucrats under DoPT), Sustainable Development Practice, Climate Science and Policy, Renewable Energy Management, Sustainability Management (MBA), Urban Development Management, Biotechnology, Water Resources Engineering and Water Science, has made TERI SAS a global leader in the field of multi-disciplinary education.
