OVERVIEW
Mahidol University is Thailand’s top university (THE 2019), founded as the country’s first Medical College, and subsequently named in honour of the ‘Father of Modern Medicine and Public Health in Thailand’, H.R.H. Prince Mahidol of Songkla.
In our 131-year history, Mahidol University has expanded to become a mid-sized comprehensive university, whilst retaining our traditional focus on Medicine and Health Sciences. Guided by our namesake’s philosophy of education that, “True success is not in the learning, but in its application to the benefit of mankind”, we aim to use our expertise, facilities and resources to support development in Thailand, ASEAN, and beyond through education, research and academic services.
