AIT – Prof. Kumar
The ‘Climate Compatible Development in Asian Cities’ project is AIT-lead, together with RMIT, UGM, Chulalongkorn, TERI and PSU. So far background research and brainstorming has been completed. The communication case study protocol looks at various aspects of cities development plans and policies to come up with a city profile. They look at socio-economic features, GHG emission trends, and how vulnerable cities are to the impact of climate change. The status report of the cities was the outcome of the latest workshop and now frameworks are being built. The next step was to look at challenges and opportunities and develop a tracking system develop to be implemented in the selected cities. The project is scheduled to complete within this year.
