Kyrgyz State University

Kyrgyz State University (KSU), named after I. Arabaev, is one of the oldest and well-established educational institutions in the Kyrgyz Republic. KSU is comprised of eight Institutes, four faculties, two lyceums, and one college. The main focus of KSU is preparing teachers for schools and professionals for the education system. KSU conducts its educational activity in the field of secondary professional, higher, additional and postgraduate professional education in the following areas and specialties:

  • 20 programs of secondary vocational education;
  • 16 bachelor’s degree programs;
  • 59 specialties of higher professional education (of which 22 are pedagogical);
  • 12 master’s programs;
  • 38 specialisations of postgraduate professional education (postgraduate and doctoral studies).

KSU provides retraining and advanced training of teachers and students of Masters and PhD programmes on: Teacher Education; Pedagogy; Ecology and Nature Management; Natural Science education; Biology; Philological education; Socio-economic education; and Physicomathematical education.
